The Proof

The Proof: God's Word Is Perfect, True, and Life-Giving
Every claim deserves evidence. This page, from a Bible ministry in Interlochen, Michigan, sets out the evidence for one claim in particular: that God's Word is perfectly true, and that the life all around us is the result.
The case does not begin with feelings or tradition. It begins with what was written, what was done, and what can still be seen.
A Word That Produces What It Says
Open to Genesis 1 and watch how creation happens. "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." Speech comes first. Existence follows. The chapter repeats that order again and again, and every time, what is spoken comes to be.
That is what makes a word truthful in the fullest sense. A true word does more than describe something accurately. It brings that thing into existence and holds it there. Hebrews 11:3 puts it plainly: "the worlds were framed by the word of God."
So when this ministry says truth means having existence, that is the reasoning behind it. Whatever God has said, is. Whatever stands apart from His word has nothing underneath it, and ends up as illusion.
Blueprints You Can Still Read
A blueprint is a written plan that a builder follows exactly. Creation is full of them.
Genesis 1:11 describes "the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself." The instructions travel inside the seed. An apple seed does not experiment with becoming an oak. It carries out what was written for it, season after season.
The same holds at the smallest scale. Every living cell runs on a coded set of instructions, its DNA, and follows them precisely. Life on earth is not a pile of lucky accidents. It is obedience to a perfectly truthful word, repeated across every species and every generation.
These blueprints are the visible half of the proof. The written half is Scripture, where God set down in words the same truth He built into the world. Both say the same thing, and they agree with each other completely.
Abundance in a Fallen World
An honest objection follows quickly. If God's Word is perfect, why is the world so broken?
Scripture answers that directly. All was perfectly true in the beginning. Deception entered, humanity believed it, and the fall brought sickness, conflict, and death into a world that had known none of them. That story is told in In the Beginning and the Fall.
What fell was humanity and the world. What did not fall was God's word. His blueprints still produce life and abundance in the middle of difficulty: crops still grow, children are still born, and every cell still reads its instructions. Those who adhere to His truthful ways for life find that they hold, even under pressure.
Written Down Beforehand
The strongest part of the proof is timing. Throughout the Old Testament, long before Jesus was born, God's word described who He would be and what He would do. Genesis 3:15 promised that the seed of the woman would crush the serpent's head.
Writing the outcome down first, and then fulfilling it, is how a perfectly truthful word demonstrates itself. Jesus Christ came from the Father, as written, and He is the way and truth for life. John 14:6 records His own words: "I am the way, the truth, and the life."
Five divinely written, tangible truths carry this proof from creation through to salvation. Each is set out on its own on the Five Divinely Written Truths page.
Questions About the Proof
Where does the proof begin?
It begins in Genesis 1, with the words God spoke over creation. The phrase "And God said" appears ten times in that chapter, and each time it is followed by the thing spoken coming into being.
What does "blueprint" mean on this site?
A blueprint is a perfectly truthful word that commands something to exist and to keep existing in a set way. Genesis 1:11 is a clear example: plants and trees bearing seed "after his kind," with the instructions carried inside the seed itself.
Doesn't the fall disprove a perfect Word?
No. The fall is recorded in Genesis 3, and the promise of rescue appears in the same chapter, at verse 15. The world was damaged by deception, but the word God spoke over it was not changed.
Is this a matter of faith or a matter of fact?
This ministry presents Jesus Christ as a matter of fact: the truthfully written Word, foretold throughout the Old Testament and fulfilled in Him. Faith in Him rests on that fact rather than replacing it.
Where should a first-time reader start?
Read Genesis chapters 1 through 3, which cover creation, the fall, and the first promise of a Savior. Then work through the five truths, which build on those three chapters.
Ask Your Questions
Questions about the proof are welcome. Readers in Interlochen, and in nearby towns such as Kingsley, Buckley, and Beulah, can call to talk it through, and the same invitation stands for anyone reading from farther away.
